    Gifts That Give Hope

Come see your favorite piano teachers Jessica Cain and Richard Nash perform live at Arlington's 5th annual Gifts That Give Hope Saturday 5 December from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.  Jessica will be singing some of your favorite Christmas songs while Richard accompanies her on the piano. You might even catch them playing a couple of duets!

Gifts That Give Hope is an alternative giving fair where shoppers can peruse touching gifts to give to their friends and family, ranging from a new set of utensils for someone moving off the street to a costly nebulizer to ensure a sick child gets breathing treatments.

These items – and dozens of others – will be available to benefit 16 local, national and international charities at Gifts That Give Hope, which is moving to a more central venue this year, the Key School at 2300 Key Blvd. in Arlington’s Courthouse neighborhood. The new location means more room for shoppers, nonprofits and giving.

Charities including the Children’s National Hospital Foundation, Arlington Food Assistance Center and Bikes for the World will be offering gifts ranging from $5 to $125, including a wide selection of gifts at the children’s fair, where younger shoppers can buy generous acts geared toward teaching them about altruism.

Each charity will have a table at the fair to explain its mission. Shoppers will leave with an elegant card that explains the gift purchased and the organization supported. The card can be given to a loved one, colleague, teacher or party host—just to name a few—to show a donation was made in their honor.

Gift-givers can also shop online throughout November and December. To learn more and to see the full list of nonprofit organizations that are participating in the 2015 Gift Fair, visit: http://giftsthatgivehope.org/arlington/.
